What we collect

• Your email address — the email address you provide when signing up.
• Where on the website you joined the list — so we know which part of the page prompted the signup.
• The date and time of the signup.
• Campaign labels from the link you arrived on — if you reach the site from a tagged link we share (for example in a social media profile), the short campaign labels in that link's address are saved with your signup so we know which post or profile brought you here. We only use short campaign labels we choose ourselves, such as "instagram" or "launch_202609". The site accepts only short label-style words and rejects anything that looks like an address, a phone number or free text, and the labels are only saved the first time you join the list.

The launch signup form does not ask for names, addresses, payment details, or information about children. Giveaway entry information is described below.

Giveaway entries

When you enter a bareswipe giveaway, we collect your name, email address, state of residence and any optional social handle or referral information you provide. We use this information to administer the giveaway, check eligibility, prevent duplicate entries, select and contact winners, and maintain giveaway records. We may email an entry confirmation. For a verified winner, we also collect a shipping address and share necessary information with service providers that administer the giveaway or fulfill and deliver the prize. We do not publish entrant contact details. Marketing emails require separate, optional consent, and prior marketing opt-outs are respected. Winner photos or testimonials require separate consent. Any legally required winner disclosure is handled under the official rules and applicable law.

Why we collect it

To send you launch updates and product availability news about bareswipe, and to understand how many people are interested before launch.

Where it is stored

Signups are stored in a hosted database provided by Supabase, which powers the backend of this site. Like any website, this provider processes standard technical request information (such as your IP address and browser details) in order to serve the page and record the signup.

When you choose launch updates, your email address is also added to our launch updates list in Mailchimp, the service we use to send those emails. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops further marketing emails. Giveaway entry alone does not add you to that list. The campaign labels stay in our own database and are not sent to Mailchimp.

While you are browsing, those campaign labels are kept in your browser's session storage so they are still available if you move between pages before signing up. Your browser clears them when you close the tab, and the site works normally if session storage is unavailable.

Website analytics

We use Metricool to measure website traffic. It records the pages visited, the page address, the referring website, and your browser window size. Metricool processes visitors' IP addresses to report the country a visit came from. According to Metricool, its website tracker does not use cookies or store identifiers on your device. Nothing you type into the signup form, including your email address, is sent to Metricool. If the address you arrive on carries anything beyond our own campaign labels — for example a tracking code added by an advertising platform — we record no visit at all for that page, which means our visit counts are deliberately incomplete.
